Each Virtuacon venue has a document called the Venue Style Sheet or VSS for short.

Each VSS contains information about the setting(s), style of play, premise, and requierments for each venue.

Changeling: The Dreaming

(VSS)

Did you ever play make believe as a young child?

If so, as you played did you and your playmates alter your surroundings to suit the needs of the moment?

The Dreaming is a fanciful world not too separated from our own. It is a world that is made of the stuff of pure imagination. You may alter the wold to suit your needs, just like when you were a child. The difference is: in The Dreaming the changes are real.

The Dreaming is full of heros, quests, and chivalry. But beware, this land of dreams is also a land of nightmares. For every knight on a white horse there is a dark warlord waiting and planning to strike at the very hope that makes dreams into flesh.

After all, most dreams remembered awaken us in terror. Don't pinch yourself, its only going to hurt.

Mage: The Awakening

(VSS)

It was a car, now it is a collection of millions of tiny parts. The parts are in an organized pattern. It still gets you from place to place. To everyone else it is just a car or at best a group of connected auto parts.

The world sees the results, but they don't really see the object. You see potential.

Others don't understand how the universe works. Its like they are sleeping through life without even knowing what life even is.

You were sleeping once too. That is the day you Awakened to reality as it was meant to be. Or, was it?

Awakening is about magic and its use to fight the sleep others call reality. But be careful, sometimes reality fights back. Sometimes with deadly force.

 

Vampire: The Requium

If life is a song, then surely life in death is a Requiem.

Welcome to The Requiem. This is the night life taken to the extreme. Creatures of the night stalk the earth. Having been purged from the light of day you are banished to the shadow of night. In order to survive, you must feed on the blood of the living; that is, if you are lucky.

You are capable of inhuman strength, speed, and endurance. Watch tour back. Everyone is out to get you. The sun itself burns you to the touch. Vampire hunters stalk you. Even your own kind will stab you in the back, if it is convenient.

 

Werewolf: The Forsaken

(VSS)

They say when the Earth was new it was whole. The continents were together to formed one single land mass. The Hisil (or spirit world) was connected with the physical. man, beast, and spirit interacted freely. A great hunter made sure that everything was in its place. Men did not go wondering onto the depths of the realm of spirits and spirits did not overly influence the world of men to their own ends.

But then things started to change. The great hunter, whose name is Father Wolf, grew old and began to weaken. He could no longer keep up with the tasks he was appointed. So, one day the eight greatest of Father Wolf's children, those who were born of the ever changing moon, talked amongst themselves. Five of the eight decided that for the protection of everyone it was time for Father Wolf to pass on the hunt to his children, who were still young and vibrant.

Father Wolf was, as are all spirits, bound by a set of restrictions on his existence called bans. One of Father Wolf's bans dictated that in order for him to give up the hunt, he had to be killed. So, his children did that they felt was necessary and killed their sire.

That is when it changed....

The death of Father Wolf rippled through all existence and the world itself shattered. The continents began to move apart and the gauntlet rose between the physical and spiritual worlds.

You are descended from one of the five sons of Father wolf who did what must be done. Because of that, you are despised by nature, feared by mankind, and hunted by the children who did not attack Father Wolf. In all existence, you are Forsaken.

In The Forsaken everything has the potential to live and think. Not only mankind but animals, objects, places, and even ideas have a mind of their own. You are a hunter, and are charged with the legacy of protecting the physical and spiritual worlds from one another. You must navigate a tangle of emotions, intrigues, manipulations and confrontations within both worlds
